Boxing day hunt with a newbie

My sons friend got a detector for Christmas so went out to show him the ropes.
He actually pulled out a musket ball and a two piece button.
My son got a 1849 U.S. Lg cent and a fatty Indian 186?.
    I found a 1862 English penny.
It was a good day all around.

Okay oldtimers, pay attention, here comes the next generation. I think that its great that you took out your sons friend to show him the ropes. Do you think that he's hooked yet?

    Congrats on your keepers.
