    1853 Seated Liberty Dime and 1831 US Large Cent

    Hello ALL!

    I've not been out much over the last week +... and starting next Tuesday I'll be heading out on the road with a few stops over three weeks... Wichita, Houston, San Antanio, Tulsa, Salt Lake City, and Mesquite...

    Anywho... I got in 90 minutes tonight and nabbed a few keepers... oh yeah the wheat penny on the left... change from my coffee :-) (its a '44)



    This LC is in rough shape... but I can See a 1 at the end... its a Cornet Head and the next to last digit's bottom was rounded to the right... like a 5 or a 3... So it has to be an 1831... This is my 15th Large Copper for the year...



    This dime suprised me twice... 12/42 @ 4-5 right next to the side walk...

    I was suprised to see silver pop out... and the beck was visable... I said nice its a Barber... then I turned it over... Suprise! (Silver # 95)

    Hey, great couple of finds there Paul. A copper is always welcomed. A Seated dime is really, really always welcomed lol Arrows too. Nice hunt and some more keepers for the year thumbsup01

    The dime is beautiful. Right now I only dream of finding something like that.

    Nice score on the wheat. I was buying my daughter's halloween costume tonight and was behind an elderly woman at the cash register... I over heard her say to the clerk, do you mind if I give you $10 in coins. Curious, I watched her pull a plastic bag out of her purse wondering if it was going to be all silver.... it wasn't. I was certainly ready to offer her much more than face value if it was.

    Anway... another nice hunt you had there. Congrats.

    Yeah, some of those seated dimes do hit on the lower end of 40+ Co scale. Sweet finds! The seated is lovely.
