I make these rings from old silver coins that I find. Thus old to new. One is a dime the other is a quarter. The years are on the inside rim along with the other stuff along the outside edge of the coin. Thought some might like to see them. Yazoo

Nice job! Those must be fun to make, though I likely would have a hard time parting with the silver coin. lol I do like the rings though. thumbsup01

Great Job. I wish I had the patience for something like that. My silver count is so low this year, I may have to substitute a penny lol How long does it take you to make one of those??

We used to make them out at sea when I was in the Navy.... long ocean trips on station (30 days at a time). We would sit around with the coin and a spoon and just keep tap, tap, tapping it until it was the right size. Then go to the machine shop and have them drill it out. Have no idea where the couple I made have gone... long time ago. RickO

Thanks every one.The dimes take about 1 hour the quarters might take 2 hrs, half dollars 4-5 hrs,and have made 1 with a silver dollar and it took about 7 hours. The pounding with the spoons take most of the time up. H.H. Yazoo
Very cool! I have seen them made before and like Angel said I am not sure I could part with any of my silver coins! lol
I like the way those coin rings look, but I feel a pain in the gut everytime I see one. lol

Although it means there is one less silver coin, it does bring happiness in it's second incarnation.... not everyone collects coins (although many of us do). RickO
