    Sunday Diggin'

Made plans to meet with Silverstar Sunday at a place that we recently found. Unfortunately we also found out that the owners were holding a big festival 8/ So we went to a place that Theola knew about, not to far away. It was once the old town hall building. We also found out that most of the huntable ground there was infested with fill dirt So I concentrated on what looked to be the lowest part of the side lot and figured that had to be the closest to the original grade. I think I was right. I soon found a 1883 IH Shortly afterwords I got a good solid 11-30 at about the 6 inch mark. I was soon holding my second IH of the morning This one turned out to be a 1894. From the same low area I found a real nice trade token!! <: I love these old hard times tokens We decided to go try another place down the road and that place turned out to be a strike out A friend of Theola's showed up and said You guys should go try my uncles place. It's only two miles away. We said &quot.K. thumbsup01 So we loaded up the truck and headed to....his uncles place lol It was getting late by the time we arrived and we only had about two hours to look around. But it was a GOOD two hours My first hole was a wheatie!! The second target was squirrely penny signal that had a strong hint of a 12 -47 ringing in! I dug down to find my second wheatie! I checked the hole with the pin pointer and...nothin' I backfilled the hole, stood up and rechecked the hole with the E-Trac. This time the headphones were just squealing with the most perfect high tone and the display said 12-47 with no bouncing I reflipped the plug and widened it by about 3 inches and checked the hole with the PP and it was still deeper Out pops a 1945 Washington quarter!! <: Before we had to leave I was able to find my third IH of the day. This one turned out to be a 1906. Shortly after we had to pack it up for the day. It was a day full of ups and downs that ended on a high [s]tone[/s] note. And we also have a new farm to hunt that is showing potential for some really nice finds
    Thanks for lookin' & HH

The day certainly produced some nice keepers. <:
Silver, IH's, Wheats and a very cool token make for a super hunt.
Is there anything on the back of the token? Love the shape of it.
    Congrats Tim.

Awesome full day of hunting! Way to stick with it after the first site fell through- it really paid off! thumbsup01

I really love those Washington's for some reason. They always come out looking so clean and BIG, in a relative sense when you're generally digging up pennies and dimes. Can't imagine what it's like to find a silver half!

Way to go, Digger. Nice IH's, and really sweet token. That's one of the most interesting tokens I've ever seen. Old tokens are great finds! Congrats also on the silver.
