    2-Cent Piece + Merc

Today I had a chance to get in some detecting for a few hours, but where to go? A small park in Connecticut had to do. The place was a target desert though, where even trash appears to have been vacuumed out. But I did manage to scrounge some keepers.

This is my eight 2-Cent piece this year, and my 15th since last year.

I picked up one silver as well. The 'coin' next to the mercury dime has no detail. I have no idea what it may be.

With the itch scratched, I now look forward to Saturday.

There have been quite a few 2-Center posted this year. They will soon go into hiding again. lol The musket balls sure do sound good when deep, and at old sites they make one think an old coin is waiting to be dug. lol

Great bunch of keepers Angel. Silver and a Merc would definitely have me happy dancing all over the place.
You have a very nice handful of 2 Centers. 15 since last year is outstanding.
    Congrats.

Yes, this is correct. The 2 Cent mating season typically runs from mid May through the end of July. As with any species they do become
somewhat more vulnerable to predators during this time.

There are three positives in life, paying taxes, dying, and Angel finding old coins wherever he goes.

One thing is for certain....take the E-Trac out of his hands and he will go through withdrawal.
