I'm not sure what we have here. The detector sounds off on it very faintly even though its large. Its heavy for its size. About 5lb.. Here's some picture, hopefully someone can help ID this rock.

Definitely interesting. Oddly shaped for sure. Hopefully someone will help out with some info.
But... the movie Joe Dirt comes to mind. lol
Looks like lead Don't know what it looks like in it's raw form, but that may be it lol If it's nickel, then it most likely would be a meteorite. Would love to find out what it is. Is there a college that has a geologist handy?? lol
Finding relics is in my blood

up in the north part of my state there is a lead mine and to me that looks like a piece of raw lead but again it also looks a little like raw silver, take it to a jeweler they might be able to help you or to a highschool that has a chem lab.

I suggest testing it for nickel first. Nickel test kits can be purchased on-line for about $20, or some bigger drug stores sell them...believe it or not.
Frankly, it doesn't resemble any meteorite I've seen. Is there a crust?
I've traveled a long way, and many of the roads weren't paved.
I would take that outa the house,i think it has an intelligence and is gathering information for a future alien invasion. I can tell by the shape of it.
If it wasn't for flashbacks, i would have no memory at all
Just keep wearing your aluminum foil hat. That's what I do.Originally Posted by BOWSER link=topic=6904.msg81038#msg81038 date=1314768213
