Took 40+ years to find my 2nd one

In my early years of detecting (teenager) I found a seated quarter with a seated dime sitting right on top of it. Today I found the Seated quarter again but NO dime. Man that is a great feeling, hope I don't have to wait another 40+ years. On the day I found the Seated 25, a Washington, 2 Mercs a Rosie, 1 War Nickel a Buffalo and 7 old wheats. Earlier in the week I picked up my first "S" mintmark Barber Dime, 2 Mercs, 2 War Nickels and another Buffalo. With some time Upnorth and limited time detecting I think I had a GREAT week. Happy dance. Keep swinging Wisconsin Digger

WTG Dave, that is a fantastic find for our neck of the woods. It is one coin that has eluded me of over 40 years. Congrats on a great hunt.

Nice score. So far I only nabbed 1 seated quarter, but I haven't been detecting 40 years yet. lol. I was a little stunned when I realized they weren't a common denomination.

I was amazed to on how few were minted after 1877 especially in the 80's. Some years the mintage is as small as 10,000. I see why so few are found. WD

I only found one silver coin in a old yard that had a house knocked down. Boom there was a 1876 Seated quarter on the edge of two properties. Boy was I shocked. Digger Don there is one just waiting to be discovered for you.
