    Silver Saturday.....my best hunt ever!

Back to the pounded park. Went back yesterday for a short hunt and was having problems with interference/falsing. The park is close to a small airport and may have been my problem? Only managed a pair of nickels. When back this morning and set a course between a couple big trees. Mid way on my first pass I pulled a deep 51 Washington continuing on I pulled a few wheats. On my return trip about 5 feet from where I found the Washington I pulled a 41 Merc....five feet further came the 54 rosie, another merc (42) and the holy #@*& 47 Walker. The Walker was the worst signal....real scratchy, I figured it was a dime or penny. It was on edge in the hole about 9 inches down. Needing to head to the house I tasked myself with one more silver and I'd leave. A half hour later I pulled a corroded 43 war nickel. Also found a old bullet, appears to be old white colored lead and one ring.

I'm thinking this park may have been pounded....with some older detectors. And I think after 10 months I'm finally tuned into the Etrac. all those silvers were just little "dings" in the earphones and very deep. Hoping to get another hunt in tomorrow if the "Boss" lets me....

Now that's how you do it!

That was a fantastic hunt, Dan! Six silvers including an awesome Walking Liberty Half!

That's my kind of park, and the E-Trac seems to excel in those types of situations.

WTG on getting all those silvers, especially that WLH. If your theory about how that park was hunted in the past runs true then it looks like you can own it with the etrac.

Thanks Gents, I hope it's the way that park is, I've hunted it with the Xterra 705 and only found a few wheat's and minimal clad. I've found 8 silvers with the Etrac in the last 4 hunts.

Glad to see I ain't the only one to set a "one more silver" goal before leaving for home.
It's not always a good idea. That line of thought has kept me out longer than anticipated numerous times!

It surly payed off this time!

Great hunt Dan. Hanging on at a site a bit longer...always a touch and go situation with the family! Hit a site some time ago and just when I was ready to head home hit on an 1889 IH. Had to stay a bit longer and...well...that was a mistake!
