These pics represent my last frozen outings of 2013, on Dec 30th and 31st!! Even though the temps were in the 20's I ended up with two successful outings. Why was I out the last two days of the year detecting in crazy conditions
? My detecting club has an annual scavenger hunt with 4 different levels, each one harder than the previous. I just needed one more item for Level 4 and I was hoping I'd find it!! (either a pre 1872 US Silver, a Shield Nickel, or a US 2 cent piece.) I've never found a shield nickel, and since I started detecting in 2008 I've found one two center a year except for this year. Also, I usually only get one seated silver a year, so I didn't make it but had fun trying.
