i broke down and made myself a ring from a Morgan

i just couldnt help myself . it's big and heavy, but it fits me perfectly and looks great i think. i posted pics of it on another forum i'm on, and a guy from Az. sent me a morgan for me to ring out for him. mine is the 1890, and his is the 1921. i think they both look great. The Az. guy...

Just for the fun of it, i made an Eisenhower clad dollar ring

just to see how it would turn out, and if i ended up a train wreck ...no big deal lol. i think it came out ok, and since the pics were taken i have cleaned the edges up a little more, and lightened the toning with some fine steel wool. dont hesitate to tell me what you think....good or bad...

I need a 32 washington quarter to make a ring for my mother

looking for a 32 washington in decent shape. good date, good lettering on the obverse, and the revers needs to be in fair shape also. i know the 32 D is a key date, and i think the 32 S is a semi key date? but the 32 plain is common. i'm willing to pay beyond melt, we can surely make a deal...

My new wedding ring , made from a silver Columbian half

i bought this coin in an auction on another forum with the intent to make a ring with it. after making numerous rings from clad halves, and a ben franklin ring i had posted previously here, i finished the columbian ring. I finished the ring and wore it a couple days, and then couldnt get it...

i'm learning how to make coin rings, evaluate this one for me please

after totally mutilating about a dozen clad halves, i tried my hand at a silver half. i'm not finished with this one yet, but its pretty close. the one thing i dont like about a benjy coinring is, the date is so small and in a location that ended up getting partially cut off due to the size of...

This might be a size record for a vintage padlock

A couple of goodies just for you frozen out swingers

I hit a yard this morning that had produced 4 silver quarters and a merc earlier in the year. The first hunt was during a dry spell , and since the ground is now perfect for good signal, i went back for round 2. I dug a total of 8 wheats during the 2 1/2 hour hunt, along with a 6 inch deep 1948...

Mama walker, baby walker, cousin merc, and friends

I havent posted in a long while, but i'm still hunting the oldies. This morning's hunt was a pretty good one, so i just had to share. i had hit this property earlier in the year, with dry conditions. found a few old pennies, and a V nic, but no silver. So after the recent rains we had here, it...

Benjamin and Theodore take a dirt nap, with cousin Abe in the bottom bunk

I made a early hunt this morning, hoping the rain the day before had helped with getting deep signal here. (super dry). I hit an area that surprised me by not giving up anything except a few copper memorials. Then i moved to a 40's/50's area of town and hit a curb strip on an empty corner...

Finally! a virgin yard gives me some big silvers and a little one also

I hit a small yard in an occupied house yesterday, next door to the empty lot where i dug my last walker a few months back. I managed to stumble upon a deep 42 GW, but the signal, although pretty solid, was bouncing from quarter to dime. it was 6 inches down, and with the dirt so dry, the poor...

big disappointment to start, and a great finish to the hunt

Finally i have something post worthy other than a few rosies so far this year , this is about it for good finds so far . i hit an old park this morning, one that in the past has given up IH's, a war nic, assorted silvers and a benjy half dollar. i was checking a dirt pile from a sidewalk digout...

Grandmotherly type women sometimes bite hard lol

‎-Lawyers should never ask a Mississippi grandma a question if they aren't prepared for the answer. In a trial, a Southern small-town prosecuting attorney called his first witness, a grandmotherly, elderly woman to the stand. He approached her and asked, 'Mrs. Jones, do you know me?' She...

    a walker and a washington

as Tony requested, here's a couple finds  the walker was next to a sidewalk in an old house lot, about 5 inches deep. it rang up weird due to a nail and pulltab in the hole just above it. but the etrac did its job and let me know to dig it :) the washington was from a sidewalk strip in...

first hunt of the new year finds a 6 coin pocket spill with a couple of 1916's

But they are wheats . i hit a house built in 1880 sunday, and i went back sunday also. saturdays finds were enough to keep me waiting to see the silver in the hole, but it was not to be. My finds saturday were 9 wheats, including 2 1916's, and a couple of 1918's also. The neatest find was a...
