I dug a coat size over 14 years ago and yesterday finally found a cuff to go with it. I've seen several others turn up in my part of the world, even 4 on my hunts... so guess it came around to my turn again. :yes:

My first pre 1800s, and I basically skipped the entire 1700s with a William III Shilling! (1695-1701) It certainly shows the wear from being around a very long time, but I'll take it. Even a little countermark as a bonus.

Even though this may not look like much, mostly French Marine buttons, bale seals, musket balls, and coins, buckles, it's the better dug items from a decade of hunting French sites dating from the early to mid. 1700s. Up until last Winter I had the coins with coins, all the seals together...

I can never get around to cleaning them so figured I'd put them on the display I had ready to go for a while to see if it would give me the motivation to finally get them done. They look far better there than in a box in storage where they have been for years.
