got an invite to detect an old farmhouse with pokie yesterday. of course i accepted. not much in the way of coins, a few 7/16 round lead balls, dug something i thought might have been a large cent. turns out to be a 1838 anti slavery token. thanks for the invitation dennis, mark.
i was invited to detect with a friend tues. and after removing a lot of junk and iron i found my first large cent, it's a 1850 also found a toasted indian head penny. friend found a few indians, a v nickel, silver 3 center and an old 1800's drug dealer token from belvidere il. hh to all.
i went to a school tot lot today and was surprised to dig up a 1935 buffalo nickel. i wonder if some kid raided a family members coin collection for show and tell? anyway todays take was 8.04 in clad, 2 canadian pennies and the 1935 buff.
got a call from tim today inviting me to meet up with him and a few other guy's. after about four hours i came away with a little over three bucks clad, a charm, a 925 silver earring, and a gold size 6 1/2 14k womans wedding band :happydance01: thanks for the call il. digger.
hi all, nothing special, buck seventy five in clad and a small 925 charm with 3 crosses on it. big thaw going on and too muddy to detect in grassy areas, would just make a big mess and add 10 lbs to each boot. so woodchips for me, hh all.
got out sunday with another detector with cabin fever and hit a few sledding hills. not much in the snowpack, but many signals under the snow, i found two of those scout neckerchief thingies, one of them i punctured with the rock pick :bangahead01: also holed a quarter :bangshead02:. not worth...
