Big brother just closed the Springfield Armory

A wonderful place to learn about revolutionary history was the Springfield armory. Thanks to the government shutdown , It has closed its doors for good. What a shame.....I'm pretty upset about this. We start losing our past and we will have no future. I like to walk above history and dig it up...

    Sunday late afternoon in Vermont.

Late start, wife had to work til 2. Zoomed up 91 to Vermont for a few hours. I needed to get out and put the coil to the soil. When I arrived at our new spot I had decent hopes. Until I saw the foot and a half green grass. I tried the stock coil for a few minutes.....NO. I put on the sniper coil...

Secured more land up north and a special return for RobW.

Rob and I went to vermont this past weekend with hopes of the greenest coppers and shiny silvers, but there was company at the home so we decided against hunting there. We then needed to find some place to hunt. Well after some driving around we found a sweet mid 1700's colonial home and decided...

Met up will Rob around 630 and we beat feet up to Vermont for a bit of everything hunt, cellar holes, fields and an old home hunt. My younger brother told me about a few places we could go and hunt. One of the hunts was very good to us. Within a few steps I nailed a KG only an inch deep. I gave...

My first yellow of the year

Met up with Al earlier today. We hit a few places today, but we really didnt get the vibe like we were going to score much, so we hit a place that has been good to us. I had been hunting in relic mode and decided to run a coin and jewelry program. To my surprise I found 13 nickles, 21 pulltabs...

    My Sunday with Al

Met Al at 7 and we hit a local park under construction. Plenty of junky signals everywhere, but I scanned a dirt pile and saw my target at the same time, laying on the slope plain as day a 1912 Barber freshly exposed from the rain waiting to be picked up. Made my Day. A few clad coins and some...
