French Liard From my 10x G Grandfathers Land

Yesterday I got permission to metal detect on my 10x great grandfathers land which he bought in the 1640s. The land had stayed in the family for generations. It’s been an absolute dream of mine to possible find some relics my ancestors had dropped. I found some buttons, a shoe buckle frag, and...

Finds From a House Built in 1800

Found some interesting things the other day at a house built in 1800- a few buttons, skeleton key, watch winder, late 1800s safety deposit tag, and a United Order of the Golden Cross medal (late 1800s secret society). This group would abstain from drinking in pursuit of living a prosperous life...

    I Believe It's a William III Halfpenny

Dug this coin back in January. It's what I believe to be a William III halfpenny (1690's). It's in pretty rough shape but with the bust facing right along with finding a few smaller details, we believe it's a William III. What do you guys think?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

First Time Out Detecting With Dad

Went out today with my dad for a few hours on an old road next to a cemetery from 1754. I guess the site of the towns very first meeting house was just to the east of us. The meeting house was moved to the town center in 1791. Gonna have to go check that new area out!! It was a pretty good...

Saved an early 1900s tractor- From the woods to my lawn

So over the last few days I've been swinging at an area my father is soon to be developing. The site has an abandoned house from the early 1900s with a ton of farm equipment left over! My very first dig was a 1918 Mercury dime, my first one ever! I was quick to notice all the real amazing...

Rare 1823 Mexican coin found in New Hampshire!

Here's one of my more interesting finds! A Mexican Empire coin from 1823 found here in New Hampshire! I guess it is pretty uncommon to pull Mexican Empire coins out of the ground! The front side says "Augustinus Dei Providentia." The head of the emperor is shown. The "18" has been drilled out...

    1800s Tobacco Tin?

So this could be quite the interesting find if it does turn out to be what I think it is.. On the very last signal of the day my friend dug this closed container. We decided to go home and give it a light wire brush to see if we could carefully get it open and see what was inside. We...

Colonial items and a clay pipe??

Got out today for a little with my buddy Carter. We ended up finding 3 oxen shoes and part of a bone all in one hole. Interesting. I also dug a spoon with no makers mark and a nice tombac. Anyone have any idea how old the spoon could possibly be? I also dug what I think is a clay pipe without...

I haven't had the time to get out in awhile but the past few days I hit some cellar holes! Finally got a big permission with a few new cellars. Here are some of my recent finds. An 1817 LC, 2 buckles, some oxen shoes, a cool license plate, a drawer knob, and 8 buttons with the leather some...

Another LC and a gem button???

4 Large Cents in 4 days! 1846 today, really good shape. It seems as if these 4 LC's were in a line. This one was just 5 feet away from the one I found yesterday! I also found what I think to be a button...? Any idea what it could be? It has a gold look to it and holds some sort of yellowish gem...

    First Large Cent!

Went out for about an hour today at the cellar hole I've been going to for the past few hunts. It started to pour 30 minutes in. However I had a really good day! I ended up finding an 1843 Large Cent and some other interesting objects such as a buckle that says Paris on the back, a little part...
