I went up to my cottage this past weekend and did some exploring some new areas and I came across a nice indian camp site. I found a lot of copper chunks and bits at first and in many of the holes I also would find a pc or two of pottery. Some of the copper bits have been worked on or perhaps are broken fragments of tools.

I did end up finding some worked pcs and some tools. A few crudely make knife blades and some nice awls. The big awl is the largest I have ever found at 6.25". It was not in the camp site but about 100 yards away ... I went on a walk around the woods and got lucky.

Below is from my Uncle's front yard. It still amazes me that I still find things there. There are 3 pcs of small cut silver and a silver earring. Also a couple tinkling cones and a copper point. These are all 1700's most likely. The other pics above are all 400 to 4,000 years old I think.

I also visited one of my button sites and found a Script I cuff button and 7 plain buttons that were mostly in the same hole. Also found a musket ball.

Thanks for looking!
