I found 2 more seated coins the last couple weekends.  The first came at a park that I have detected many many times and dates to the 1870's.  I was detecting around a cement structure and came across a shallow penny signal.  The coin was caked with a thick black sulfide but I did see a bit of the silver showing through. It was an 1886 dime and I gave it Angel's treatment which worked well.


Then yesterday I hit another old park and came across a deep whispery high tone but there was a nickel/foil type low tone nearly on top of it. I was not sure if there really was a good high tone deep but I cut a big plug and dug extra deep and looked in the hole and saw a silver coin. This one was an 1876 S Quarter!!
