Here are the finds for today, seven more silver dimes, two Buffalo Nickels, a 1902 IH and a bunch of wheats. Also found a some odds and ends as usual and the tie clip, too bad it’s not gold! Thanks for looking!
I went out for about four hours yesterday over lunch and after work. Yesterday’s hunt was not quite as productive as Tues, but still some great finds that I am happy with. Five silver, two tokens, Shield Nickel (no date yet), 1 IH and 20 wheats. HH!!
After finding seven silvers yesterday, I was able to make it back today before work, over lunch and this evening and found silver each time. The crews are constantly moving dirt around so once you cover an area, they move the dirt, you go back over it again. This is my first old silver...
Well, this was probably one of the most fun weeks I have ever had detecting. I made it to the park construction project four times this week (hoping for today again). The rain slowed the work a little bit which I was thankful for, so I could keep going back to get more goodies. One day this...
These are finds from two more visits to the park project last week. Tried to dig some of the lower tones now, hoping to hit a gold ring, but it was not to be on these trips. Anyone ever see a micro harmonica like the one in the 3rd pic?
After over eleven years of detecting and countless hours in woods and fields where these are probable to find, I finally found my first copper culture artifact in a woods that I have permission to MD in. I am pretty thrilled to have found this one!
I made it out tonight before the rain to save these at a project where they are regrading portions of a local park. 3 Wheats, 2 IH’s and some silvers including a sterling ring. I also like the Post Office Dept button. Should be more to come from this spot!
A weekend trip to the daughter and son-in-law’s in Minnesota left me time for one short hunt. I spotted this tearout and I was glad I had the gear along in my car. Really like the clay pipe bowl, an eyeball find. I thought there would be some oldies, but just one Rosie and four wheat cents...
This is from multiple hunts Thur, Fri and Sat last week.
I was fortunate to rescue the two 1876-S seated dimes about twenty feet apart with an IH in between. That was Friday morning, by the end of the day that area was under six inches of gravel.
Here are some more finds from the park
projects and street work from over the weekend and the past couple of days.
The foreign coin is a 1960 Iceland 5 Aurar.
The three copper discs in the coin picture may or may not be coins. I found them in some debris while digging out a small partially...
I have had some more visits to several projects since last week and also hit a yard of a 1906 home. The owner was regrading his whole yard, so I stopped and asked, he said have fun! The Buff, Pontiac token and misc were from a small park brush clearing.
Well, I got the Equinox 600 about a month ago and after tinkering around with it for the first week or so, I finally got in some good hunts to a couple of spots. These hunts were either to some park sites that I have been to many, many times or to some park areas that are currently under...
I made it out to a park for a little bit this evening in between the rain.
I am three weeks in with the Equinox 600 and really liking the machine a lot!
I found the Merc at about 8” and this penny spill at about 6” plus some other coins and odds and ends.
Here are a few finds from a couple of hunts at a park and in some woods. The soap token is about the size of a half dollar and is one of the better ones I have ever found.
These finds are from the past couple of weeks from several sites. Back for more to a couple of spots.
Been getting lucky with eyeballing the marbles, dolls parts and buttons lately. The 1893 V Nickel was also an eyeball find.
