I was talking to a landowner and told her I was looking for civil war era home sites and she said come in and check this out .Its her great grandpaw and she knows where he lived. I didn't get the permission yet.

I know I have good soil so detectors do well here but here are 2 detectors doing really well on a 1840 large cent and some silver. The aka is impressive on depth. I don't think its going to be the iron killer like the deus but its got a place in my arsenal.

Man what a day detecting got it all on video too.

It was a tough day I got a toasted indian and a hundred holes later and inn the last few minutes of the day this pops out and makes it all worth it.

Some landowners ive come across dont care one hill of beans about what you find,others want to split and some want it all. Do you guys dig at places where the landowners want all the finds? I always try to look out for the landowners but it seems to get me into a place sometimes. It starts...

flu is gone ,had a few sites lined up that turned out to be duds but the light is stating to shine again lol its been tough.

We have been looking for a civil era home for 2 days and have had no luck in finding it. So we went and checked another spot and I tagged this. I actually called it a large cent before I dug it ,I missed it by a few years lol .Ill take a king george the 3rd anyday.
