Warm weather with a slight chance of silver.

As Dan told me, the finds would get better soon, however, it may not be a huge change right away. This morning started off with getting rejected again from one of the places I tried last weekend. This time I had a liability waiver with me, but the owner still said no because he had even family...

Relic hunters might like what I found today.

Today I went to a spot where there was an old school. I found the area where there were a bunch of thick vines, but there was no foundation. I found a bunch of stuff, but the coins have eluded me this time. The list includes: what seems to be a 1935 die cast Wrigley's Mack truck made by...

    My finds today.

Today headed up to an old school house. The old roof was still there with some big metal grate showing thru. The rusty old school stool was there. I found some large iron there, looks like one might be a flapper/damper piece to an old stove but it has holes thru it. The larger piece was almost...

    Going back to ask permission?

Today was a bust. The first place the house was uninhabited but owned by a guy down the street. He said he had like 6 people ask him to detect but always had to say no due to farm type insurance and liability. He said if there wasn't an issue he might allow but I had no liability waiver. The...

    Piece of junk?

Lol. Now today's haul... only a key for a Ford. I know it's pre-1990 but idk if it's for a car or tractor. It was found near a house from 1760 which had a barn. It was 20 feet from the barn doors. I'm guessing the pegs on the wall inside were for the horse or ox harnesses. No I couldn't go...

    Piece of junk?

Found this yesterday. It's so big it was registering as a nickel. It was found near a river. There did seem to be 100 ft length of area wide enough a vehicle could fit and the gound sort of looked slightly compressed. There was a slight ramp down a near by hill too, but it was barely 5 ft wide...

Curious if anyone knows what these are.

I found these in a park that has been around since the 1700's. Since then, the park now has a baseball diamond and concession stand. Obviously I was hoping to find older coins, but I only found loose change. But while searching one coin I stumbled upon one piece that is wooden. Small 1/2" square...

Who has tried looking for their local treasure legends?

Ok, So who on here has actually looked for a lost legend for their state (or an adjacent state) and brought a detector out to look for it? [Does it make you feel like Mikey in the Goonies? lmao].

First time of year. First time with new detector.

Went today to an old ferry launch. There is no old structure or rock retaining wall left. It was used up til late 1800's. It wasn't 10 min until I found a coin... well.. token. I got two other hits closer to the water, both machines found they were non-ferrous. Could not pinpoint it or dig deep...
