    What is on this Merc?

Hi folks, got a question. This is a 35 Merc I found yesterday. In the first picture notice how dark gray it is. The coin was found flat up against an old sidewalk about 4 inches down. Got it home and started to try to clean it. Started with water and a toothbrush. Added liquid soap. Nothing...

And a 1935 Merc. This Merc was laying right up against a sidewalk. Look at the first pic. See how dark gray it is...

First attempt at scanning coins for posting.

Hi Folks. Got out and hunted most of the day. I think this was the worst day yet. I surely ended up with the cob and not the corn this day. 1 Wheat, no date, and a Polmolive soap token, and a hand full of clad. Anyway when I got home I decided to try to scan some coins for the first time on my...

    First Silver of 2012

Happy New Year folks. Got out for a short hunt this morning. Went to an old abandoned hospital that had a nursing school at one time. This place has been hunted and hunted before all the weeds and brush grew where you couldn't. I found out that at one time, next to the nurses home was a tennis...

Long hunt, not much to show.

Well I went to a new spot today. A vacant lot where two houses once stood. At one time there was a street car that ran in front of these houses. I thought for sure this would be a promising site. Was not to be. Hunted about four hours. Got a bucket full of junk. $1.87 in clad, three wheat...

    Question please.

Hello, got another question. I have read a lot of post about people selling their silver coins for the melt value. I'm confused on this. Isn't it still against the law to destroy US currency? I know I have read about people hoarding copper pennies in the hope of one day that they will...

    Just a quick question.

I have noticed in the magizine ads that the Fisher F75 Ltd and the Teknetics T2 Ltd are identical in looks. Are these the same machine? Are they made by the same people? Just curious. Thanks in advance.
