    British Colonial Silver!

Thanks Dan! After doing some research at the below website & based on its approximate size of 15/16" (23.812mm) or 1" (25.4mm) I do believe it's a King William III Shilling (25.5mm). Although I can't get the date his reign was from 1689-1702. https://www.coins-of-the-uk.co.uk/coins.html

    British Colonial Silver!

Got out for a bit this am to a site I've hit in the past as it's a park & hunt site that has produced Large Cents, Barbers, Indians & Colonial Coppers. Was swinging close to a stone wall when I got the hit and it was deep had to be about 6" or more, rang up I think in the 60's but when out of...

    This & That

Got out yesterday to an old site that I haven't been to in years. The site is trashy, so I spent time away from the hole & was rewarded with these finds. Pin says C.B. Manuf. Corp, if anyone can find out any info as to what this company made, I'd appreciate it, as I looked and came up empty...

    Cool Copper Saturday

Got out for a bit today to some old sites up in Goshen. Temps were about 67 this am after some brutal heat we've had this summer. The crotal bell still rings and appears to have a date of 180? on it. Nabbed all of the items up there except for the copper. The copper came from the same site...

    Hot Copper!

Was all prepared to go to work this am but got the call that it was too dead to come in, so off I went. Now I normally do not hunt in the high temps but I had a new spot to check out. Got there & saw iron piled up on a stone, so I knew I wasn't the 1st person there. I swung around anyhow for a...

    Draped Bust Today

I'm sure there a few buttons but it's the land of diminishing returns. After easily 200+ buttons and probably 15+ coppers, it's now very quiet except for bullets, shell casings & headstamps. Frank & I have pounded it for several years.

    Draped Bust Today

Temps finally allowed me to get out for a bit today. I went back to my famous button site and nabbed another button but alas this site is now officially retired as the finds have finally dried up. Ended up going to a site I discovered on the side of the road awhile back and was rewarded with...

Ding, Ding, We have A Winner!

Got out today on my day off to the Northwest corner of the state to some new sites I discovered. 1st site nabbed the Conestoga bell and the 1886 IH. 2nd site nada but will have to go back as the ferns have it totally enveloped. Did find this jawbone with an enormous tooth that went all the way...
