Those are cool hobbies guys. I like the down the barrel shots.
I've had a ton of different hobbies in my life. One of my favorites was being a Confederate CW Re-Enactor for 12 years before kids. I'd say this pic was taken about 1996. I'm the 1st one kneeling on the left by our flag. This...
Went back to the site where I found the Pres. Adams cufflinks. I gridded the entire site & was rewarded with what looks like a CT as well as this beautiful ball button. Luckily did not see any bears today or any porcupines.
Any ideas on the ball button for age? Was this a military button?
Got out with my friend Frank today to hit up some sites up north. Ran into a Black bear (no pictures) as we were shouting & banging our shovels to scare it away. Happened upon a porcupine and backed off.
Got a pair of Pres. John Adams cufflinks as well as 2 buttons. The Buckle is silver but...
Anyone know where to buy Whites Accessories other than thru Centreville Electronics? Garrett's website does not even list anything from Whites. Seems Garrett bought Whites & then has let that Brand die off.
Whelp looks like I'm in for a direct hit. Glad I got my 2-100gal tanks topped off 2 weeks ago. Power is likely to be out for at least a week. Property is all secured down, now the wait begins.
Stay safe folks!
Got out yesterday with Frank to some new sites, nabbed 2 coppers (Ct & ??) as well as 2 buttons, a garter or corset clip (I think) as well as this Religious Medal, looks to say Patented 1846 & 1848.
Also spotted what I think are moose & bear tracks.
Not sure what it was, earing perhaps, but has a spring on the inside with teeth on the ends. Also got a musket ball.
The spoon was from my last hunt as well as the handle with the initials OEM.
Was out with Frank last Friday in Goshen on the side of a dirt road drinking from a puddle after the rains. Frank went to get a picture as it climbed a tree for safety. Frank did not get hit, lol.
Anyone else see them?
Hey all. Not much to report. Nabbed 10 buttons at my button site where Frank & I we've pulled over 100 buttons.
Got out with Frank yesterday and nabbed a sleigh bell marked: PAT OCT 24 76 & MAY 14 78, as well as the barrel tap, small cuff button and the football shaped thingy.
Got out for a bit this afternoon. Was a beautiful day to be out in the woods. Ground is kind of dry & the ticks are out and hungry.
I've hit this site on and off for the past 9 years. The past few years it's been a bust but today the site gave up a few goodies, which I attribute to all the...
Got out with Frank on Sat to some new sites as well an old one we had hit at the end of 2020. We pounded the place and were rewarded with a few goodies. Copper is a CT.
Hey guys, Merry belated Christmas & an early Happy New Year.
Was doing some research last night & stumbled across this, so thought I'd pass it along.
Abandoned & Little-Known Airfields (airfields-freeman.com)
Got out with Frank yesterday to some new spots.
The 2nd site of the day was the only one that produced any coppers. Nabbed a CT as well as a copper that was all smoothed out & had an initial carved into it. Unfortunately this site was not on any map so no idea who used to live there to ID...
Got out yesterday & today to some old sites of mine. Nabbed at CT at a site I found 10 years ago & was happy to see another CT pop up. Also nabbed these 2 tokens from the Ansonia Brass & Copper Co.
Today was just about a bust until I dug this at a road side site about 10ft from the road. Says...
Hey all. I've been pretty quiet this year not much in the way of finds but yesterday was the best one so far this year.
Got out with my good friend Frank to some new sites deep in the woods and nabbed some goodies.
This is my 3rd Fugio & my 4th copper of the year. Also got a 1904 V in decent...
