Great day with Digger Don and Noah!

Two different hunts Chris I found the larger one like yours but also the small but heavier one. Several seated dime were recovered there as well. Never was able to identify. Maybe someone here knows more.

    My Turn

Somewhere in the United States I had a 2 seated Saturday. My first seated quarter! Thanks to Don I found the barber dime when he invited me to checkout where he was vacuuming up a tribe of Indians! Check out Don’s post as he found a bunch of good stuff!

    Really unworthy

Considering what Don found, what I got on the same day hardly deserves posting but here it is. Indian are 1865, 1889 and 1894. The 1865 is toasted compared with the crisp sweet 1889. Soil conditions really make a difference! Congrats Don on a stellar hunt!

    Almost 1800s coin spill

it was another beautiful Saturday morning and Digger Don and I went to another of our towns to do some door knocking. It’s been getting a little lean in the mid west. But you know we’ve got to get out! Well lucky me I was first on the board. After first pulling a zinc penny at 6-7 inches I...

    Wish I’d videod it

Had the pleasure again to meet up with Digger Don. Had a slow start, but did get a skeleton key in a parkway! Love finding them. Anyway was back and forth with Don constantly trying to pull ahead of me! Finished off the day in an 1830s yard. We’ve passed the house before but always looked...

Found a “little” silver at least

1884 10 Ore from Norway popped out of a former congressman‘s yard. Don ya always pick the best town, lol. Actually the town was beat long ago I think but fortunately they left this tiny sliver of the past. Thought I had play money or a trime. Anyway the Indian came from another town, two...

    Hometown not hunted out

Well took a couple hours to myself today. Wasn’t sure what I could do with my dad in the hospital, couldn’t go far like usual Saturday’s. Oh and he’s ok now, so thankful for that! Anyhow saw a moving sale at a 1915 home nearby. Hmm.... Well started working the side yard and was pulling...

    Small town hunt

Another great day out with digger Don. Was pleased to finally get a chance to meet Tony two cent! Too bad he had to leave at noon but then again so should we have since our luck was only in the morning. Afternoon was a complete bust. Might have something to do with deciding to changing...

    Finally!

Had a nice weekend hunt with Don and finally got seated! It’s only been two years since I got one, LOL. Here’s a picture of it along with my other finds. Someone smarter than I will have to fix the photos.

Our finds are even more wonderful when we understand the history!! Video link here!

Hello! Was just inspired to post a link to a FREE college course that panel discusses our wonderful WORLD history! Seems to have a leaning toward American history, but today I listened in on one involving the middle ages! Most of you here that I know don't do this for the money (obviously!)...

Just all around fun day. with the duo.

Wisconsin continues to be friendly. Locals say there is a person in town who hunts these houses, but I'm more than happy to clean up what is left behind. Don and Al did fairly well too, especially with the usual pockets full of Indians, lol. Fun day. Have to bring an appetite too for...

    1840 home hunt

Mentioned finding a saber hook for the Knights Templar. This happened a couple years ago. Just thought I'd share a pic of it. Yard was full of Indians, about 15+, along with a couple barber dime, couple Washington, Merc, gold fill woman's pocket watch, signet gold ring, lead toy soldiers, toy...

    Indians galore

Maybe not Indians galore for me, but it was for Don! I'll let him post that. But was a relatively good hunt for me in WI. Two Indians (1894 and 1865), 1938 Merc, 1916 Buffalo, remains of a silver ring, and some relics. I think I got musket balls! Wonderful weather and soil was free of trash...
