I have had a great season last year with my fisher f75,i love it!! but,I went to use it today and it chatters and signals relentlessly,in the air on the ground,no targets around and when there are known targets,it doesn't pick up on them at all.I removed the coil.same issue, plugged it back in...
I found this today detecting in my field..along with several very nice flat buttons.I'm assuming its a bullet,it's lead with a thick white patina and a solid base.i don't know much about bullets, but I've never seen one like this before.
I want to thank everyone for being so awesome on this page, the other detecting pages I belong to are full of know it alls who aren't afraid to let you know they are.Rude people who seem to be experts on everything. And people who claim you really didn't find the items you posted. once again...
Here are a few items I've found in my field, which is near the site of the Castleton skirmish as well as the Hubbardton Battle field. The penny next to the 2 largest lead balls I've found is just for size comparison.those are 2 of dozens of lead balls of various sizes that I have.I find so amny...
Today I was detecting around an old home here in Vermont, the home was built in the 1760's and is not too far from the Hubbardton Battlefield.I found this awesome large brass buckle approximately a foot in the ground, unfortunately it is bent a little.Across the street from this house,same...
I'm not sure if these buckles are from horse tack or not, they were all found in my field, which yields many 18th century buttons, musketballs, a beautiful complete knee buckle and the like.any ideas folks?
All of these balls were found in my field this past summer.no idea on the caliber of them..but they are kool anyway.I don't know and probly will ever know if any of them are from the Revolutionary war Castleton skirmish..which happened less than a 1/4 mile from my property.Doubtful but kool to...
Here are a few more finds I've made..obviously ones an ax,though I have no idea of an age on it or what kind of ax it is., I found it buried over a foot deep near an old cellar hole (with a huge maple growing in the center of it) I also found what I believe to be a sewing bird at the same...
Today it was 50 degrees here in Vermont and I just had to get the f75 out and have some fun...heres what I found..including my first ever buckle with it's clasp intact.Theres a buckle and a u shaped item I'm not quite sure of what they are. thanks
I found this victorian (I assume) ring in the same field that I have found all of my colonial relics..the ring is marked with sterling and it looks to be studded with small stones..most likely rhinestomes.
hey whats good everyone? glad to be part of your site..I was on treasurenet but I found a few of the so called experts to be very rude and very pushy.everyone here seems to be friendly and respectful.
Here are a few of the multitude of buttons found in my field this past season..2 are confirmed via a jewelers test to be gold plated(one barely has any left on it) any idea as to what they are or age of them? 2 are pewter..(1 is badly decayed) and I believe the 2 larger are dandies..there are...
