    Navy Button - ID Needed

Was out this am at a cellar hole & dug this 2pc Navy button. Hopefully someone can ID it as being US Navy and not a sports coat button, which I do not believe were around in the 1800s. Thanks in advance!

Copper & Button Slump Over - Russian Kopeck

Got out with Frank yesterday for an all-day hunt. Was up at 4am and got home 7pm. Sites are getting tougher to find and those that we do find are pounded. Was out on the CT/RI border in Voluntown as well as Sterling. Our best site of the day was our 1st one that was way out in the woods and...

    British Colonial Silver!

Got out for a bit this am to a site I've hit in the past as it's a park & hunt site that has produced Large Cents, Barbers, Indians & Colonial Coppers. Was swinging close to a stone wall when I got the hit and it was deep had to be about 6" or more, rang up I think in the 60's but when out of...

    This & That

Got out yesterday to an old site that I haven't been to in years. The site is trashy, so I spent time away from the hole & was rewarded with these finds. Pin says C.B. Manuf. Corp, if anyone can find out any info as to what this company made, I'd appreciate it, as I looked and came up empty...

    Cool Copper Saturday

Got out for a bit today to some old sites up in Goshen. Temps were about 67 this am after some brutal heat we've had this summer. The crotal bell still rings and appears to have a date of 180? on it. Nabbed all of the items up there except for the copper. The copper came from the same site...

    Hot Copper!

Was all prepared to go to work this am but got the call that it was too dead to come in, so off I went. Now I normally do not hunt in the high temps but I had a new spot to check out. Got there & saw iron piled up on a stone, so I knew I wasn't the 1st person there. I swung around anyhow for a...

    Draped Bust Today

Temps finally allowed me to get out for a bit today. I went back to my famous button site and nabbed another button but alas this site is now officially retired as the finds have finally dried up. Ended up going to a site I discovered on the side of the road awhile back and was rewarded with...

Ding, Ding, We have A Winner!

Got out today on my day off to the Northwest corner of the state to some new sites I discovered. 1st site nabbed the Conestoga bell and the 1886 IH. 2nd site nada but will have to go back as the ferns have it totally enveloped. Did find this jawbone with an enormous tooth that went all the way...

A Little Off The Side, Please.

Got together with Frank for a soggy Sat. hunt in the rain but was able to snag a few goodies including my 1st clipped copper, a KGII. Also, nabbed this button that says Chase on it. HH!

Sat Hunt With Frank At The Button Site

Got a surprise text from Frank yesterday looking to see if I was free. I was so out we went. Weather was absolutely beautiful, Top 10! We went to our button site that has coughed up probably 150 - 200 buttons (I've lost track, but I know we were at about 100+, 1-2 years ago), and many Coppers...

My Manticore Cellar Hole Program - M11 Coil

Don't see a lot of discussions from Manticore Cellar Hole Hunters and what programs are being used. Just ordered the M8 coil & looking forward to using it rather than the M11 Coil.

    Home Weather Stations

Hey guy's looking to replace my old home weather station (La Crosse WS-1510). Seems everything has batteries at that need to be added to the array. Seeing I mount this on my roof not looking to go up and change those batteries. Anyone know of a decent unit about $200.00 that is solar powered...

    Gold! Well kind of..

Got out yesterday with Frank. Not much passed under my coil but pull a Gold plated jewelry item. Think it was a cameo broach/locket as it has a hinge on it. Also pulled a 2pc button as well as this chain. HH!
