    Road Trip down south

Earlier this month I had an opportunity to head down to South Carolina (Orangeburg area) with some friends for a long weekend of "treasure hunting" ;) . We attended the "Relicon" hunt that was organized by Axel Macon and Clyde "Kandi Chilson" on a 1000 acre piece of property with supposedly a...

    last hunt of 2021

I recently sold off a couple of detectors , the DFX went to a nice gentleman in Colorado and the Deus was sold to a real good guy (Mark) that i've detected with more than a few times . This left me without a decent cellar hole hunting detector but a good friend Dave (HEAVYMETALNUT) was gracious...

slow day until the "Po Po" flashed the badge !

Got out with Donnie B , and Mr. Ron Yingling on Sunday . A good three plus mile hike along some very old abandon roads , i recorded about 4 to 5 old homesites and told the boys i had a good feeling about this adventure. Donnie did good but Ron had the hot coil and claimed a couple of old coppers...

    Cold Connecticut

I haven't been out in weeks , work has been busy and I (literally) have been doing lots of mechanical work on my jeep . So it was extremely good to just get out and swing the coil again , just a half day hunt and it was unusually cold in the "constitution state" , we hiked out a good mile or...

    Boom!

More finds from the "Artillery sites" , these were a group early homesteads not terribly far from an American fort and from all the recent artillery , light artillery type buttons many must of been enlisted there. Five of us made the hike in and even though we were forced to leave a bit early...

    More 1808-1820 buttons

Same hunt with Donnie B and HEAVYMETALNUT (Dave) great mild December day with good company , the Deus will sure smell out those smaller cuff sized buttons in mineralized ground.
