    Resurrection Of An Oldie

Thanks guys. Dan, I felt the same way when I sent you the pictures below to ID for me. When you replied and told me it was a wax seal I said to myself, ":duh: I should have known that :embarrassed: "....sound familiar. The wax seal was 14K and found in the H2o.

    Resurrection Of An Oldie

This hunt was made in April while hunting with my Buddy OBN and thought I posted it over here but now realize I didn't. I thought some might like to hear the story behind it. These three rings were found that day and I thought the ring on the left was junk... ...however, after cleaning it...

    The Wife Claimed This One

Just because I haven't been posting doesn't mean I haven't been finding. I had to post this sweetheart though. You guys and gals know how much I LOVE the old stuff and this was "love at first sight" ..... even before I cleaned it. I love this OLD 10K beauty and so did my wife. It's her...

    A Gold First For Me

Update: My gold streak ended at 5 consecutive hunts, the last ( fifth hunt ) produced a double gold. My sixth hunt was a bust but the 7th produced a nice 1971, 10K school ring and a Barber half. Thanks for looking

    The Streak Continues

The best of yesterdays hunt. I can't believe it, 4 for 4 gold hunts. Just when I thought I'd never do another 3 straight gold hunts I add another to the streak. The 14K wedding band is this years drop and sounded good on the Excalibur. I can call a nickel or gold most of the time. To bad the...

    A Gold First For Me

Three consecutive hunts finding gold. 3 are 14K and the oldie is 10K. The three hunts were all at different places and if you notice the pics of my finds for each hunt, they're not many, BUT, gold was there. In the last pic there are 14 diamonds in the channel. Thanks for looking.

The Last Three Hunts Have Been Good To Me

Had my first triple gold day on Monday, zip on Tuesday and a fatty yesterday in a spot that has been gold free the last seven hunts there.

Not A Lot Of Targets But....

....one was the right color. This 14K Oldie made for a rewarding trip. Very similar to one I found last year. I'm told that this was a very popular style in the 40s and 50s.

Not A Lot Of Targets But Gold Was In The Equation

Another rough day in the surf. Let me just say, you earn every target you dig. I'm on a religious metal and tableware roll  but at least one of them was finally gold and 14K at that. I'm embarrassed to say I thought the earring was junk until I posted it on another site and Craig said he...

    Three Consecutive Gold Days

I went back to the gold fields only to find the covered with about 3' of sand and waves big enough to surf on. I went up the road only to find the same conditions. I checked out another beach on the way home and seen some rocky areas, ( not many ) but thought I'd give it a try after the hour...

    Back To Back Hunts

Back to back hunts produced a couple 10K rings and some interesting finds. Friday it was really cold and I had 5 layers of tops on. At the end of the hunt they were all saturated and I had to remove three for the ride home. My hat was dripping perspiration and the salt was running in my eyes...

Thought It Was Junk But Now I Don't Think So..WOW, What A Turn Of Events

I found this while water detecting at the beach yesterday and thought it was junk and didn't bother posting it on any of the sites. After looking it over I could tell something was inside so I started digging the muck out and found the pearl, pink stone, and whatever the tan stone is inside...

    14K Mothers Ring

With Labor Day behind us, spots that were closed are now open. This wasn't a new drop and down a good scoop and a half in very hard digging. The spot was loaded with junk and I was using my DF but unfortunately my Excalibur never would have hit this one. IMHO

    Deja vu

The best of it..... A 3 1/2 hour hunt produced the 4.82g , 18k (750) wedding band, a silver ring and a peso. Don't know what it's doing up here in Connecticut. lol

    14K W/ Tiny Ice

Been keeping a low profile but thought I'd share a 10.81g, 14K with tiny diamonds in the cross I found today . Also found a 925 silver wedding band that I thought was 10K but as the saying goes, all that glitters is not gold >:{.

Why It's So Important To Check Your Finds

After we wrapped up our hunt yesterday and got back to the truck, we compared finds. I showed my Buddy the 14K wide band and a junk ring. When I got home I came so close to throwing the lady's ring in the junk pile until I realized that they wouldn't put a beautiful stone like that in a...
