1827 one cent

Ok,it`s snowing and I`d thought I share some finds.This is my oldest U.S cent so far.1827:shocked05:

Sweet coin Robbie, are you using a camera or a phone to take pics? I ask because I'm having issues trying to take pics with my phone.
 
I would think that any HP digital camera would have a "macro" setting. Usually it's a button that looks like a flower or tulip. When the camera is in "macro" mode you should be able to get the lens close to the object and the photo will be in focus. In macro mode you don't use the zoom function.

yes better photo Robbie , location plays a huge part in the condition of the large cents we find . I bet my ratio is maybe 4 out of every 20 are in very decent to really nice shape . I hope its not your oldest very much longer Robbie .

When I first started detecting I didn't even know these coins existed in the ground. Now it's a rush to see a large disc come out of the ground. Congrats on your large cent :beerbuddy:
