I couldn't detect during the past three days because of other more important obligations. But today was a different story as I had the afternoon free to enjoy a good amount of time playing in the dirt.
The drive to the site I had in mind was a bit long, but the payoff was very worth it. Soon after arriving my detector's coil was hitting the grass. A few minutes later a familiar signal caught my attention. I dug the target and soon had a silver coin in my hand, a Roosevelt dime. I covered the hole and began to circle around it in the hopes of picking up any spread spills. It wasn't long before I had another two silver coins in my pouch, a merc and another Roosevelt. I then decided to grid that area. It paid off handsomely, as I ended the hunt with 19 silver coins in my pouch, 10 Roosevelt dimes, 7 mercury dimes, and 2 Washington quarters. I also dug up a good amount of wheat cents and two silver rings.
Happy hunting everyone!
