2000th Post Is A Hunt With Friends

Had a blast with George, Birthday Boy, and Brandon yesterday....until Merc had to go home and take his Geritol :poke:
After stepping through that beaver dam and not having detected since before the holidays I admit I was thankful Merc wanted to hike it out of there.
The copper is an 1787 CT. I actually had my coil over that fox's tail before I saw what it was. Freaked me out:shocked03:
Thanks for looking!
PS I forgot to add the keyhole plate to the group pic, that thing reminds me that these woods were actually homes.

Sounds like you guys had a blast.
There is nothing better than doing what you enjoy with friends.
Congrats on your finds

That sounded like a nice hunt...dead animals and all... Really like the Ct. Copper I would love to find a state copper but pretty hard to do here in Ohio where anything Colonial is a great find! Looking forward to more posts glad you guys can get out.

congrats on the Connecticut copper Drew , when you popped that out of the ground within the first ten minutes i though we were in for a virgin site . I felt bad Brandon didn't get a coin , i found my second coin ( a worn out slug) about ten minutes after you two left. nice to meet up yesterday

hey any design on them cufflinks ??

Nice digs Drew :clapping: Those cufflinks look like they were made to last. That hunt had everything. Coins, relics, dead bodies.....

Looks like you had a productive day. Great job i hope to see find more colonial coppers:). You guys weren't hunting the pet cemetery were you? lol
good Luck and HH

Is that why you guys left? I just thought you were allergic to sleet  Nice job on striking first with that Connecticut copper. :happy:It's been a long time since Dan and I have found a CT copper. You always do good on your hunts.

What the one you bought at the coin show? Maybe it was all the complaining you did all of last year that you haven't found one in a while that fogged my memory :hystericallaugh:

...I seem to find a lot of those CTs ....like over 20 the last few years, but haven't been able to date one until this one.

yeah i'm having a difficult time attributing it to a variety as there may not be enough detail or key areas to nail it down.

Great Hunt! Sad to see the dead animals but they won't go to waste. I'm guessing they died of natural causes and not by careless hunters.

:congrats:on your 2000th post and finding all those great items. Cuff links look very well built, lasted much better than that fox and bird.
