4 silver hunt in January

Being able to detect in January here in Michigan is a bonus! I hit one of my favorite places on Saturday and managed to dig through the frozen ground and found 4 silvers! Some parts of the park were too frozen while others portions of the park the ground was barely frozen at all.

I found lots of Wheaties but no other old coins or relics. The 1905 S barber dime was my first silver coin of the year. Then the 1918 D, 1941 and 1935 mercs.

Big congrats on the silvers! Wisconsin is much the same, a few areas still frozen, fields are mostly swamp, and a few digable places.

Grats on some silver first hunt of the year, esp a barber. So far the ground hasn't frozen enough, or long enough to end detecting for the season. :crossfingers:
