7 Hour Group Hunt in Woods / Park

On Friday the 8th a group of four of us hunted the woods in Ryder's Woods Park in Woodstock, IL. We had a great time and we pulled out a few silvers and some wheats and lots of trash and other interesting finds. Highlights were the silver quarter/4 wheat spill found by a friend and the fact that I got to hunt with my 14 yr old son, as this was his first big hunt. What a way to break him in, in the woods, bugs like crazy and 90 degrees!!

Plenty of goodies coming out of the ground to keep you in the thick of it.
My patience goes way down when I'm dealing with bugs and heat with no good finds.
If I pull a silver... annoyances seem to become less of a problem. lol

You son probably thinks this is nuts to be hunting with the bugs and heat lol But silver quickly makes one think different :thinkingabout: Nice hunt and must have been fun to have a couple of guys around to have some friendly competition too. Cool finds!! I haven't seen a 45-70 since Tackleberry in the Movie Police Academy. lol good times.
