80th YTD silver is a semi key date

The grove did not disapoint me again. I found my 80th silver coin for the year and it was a good one. It is an 1894-O barber dime. I would grade it at VG-8 and the Coin World value guide puts it at $100, not bad. I also found an 1888 Indian and 2 wheats from the teens.
The dime was a great find but I did not know what I had at the time I dug it but I think I topped the dime find. I dug a copper arrow head from the Old Copper Culture. It is an American Indian point and it was probably used as a spear point. the Old Copper Culture started around 4000 BC in Wisconsin. You can check out the details about the Copper Culture and the point in the relic section.

WTG Jeff. One of our club members found a spear point in a road construction this summer. I have 11 Barber Dimes for the year thumbsup01 thumbsup01but I don't think anything that old. Nice pictures.

:omg: WTG on getting a semi-key Barber. I know how hard it is to get a semi-key or key date coin. They jut don't show up that often, maybe that's why their key dates. :hysterical: I saw your point in relic section, now thats a great find. Thats what I would call a full day of successful hunting.
