9 pound gold nugget found!

Nice article! I saw a show about these guys who detect for meteorites in Kansas I think/ among other places. They use a tractor with a home-made detector with wiring and pvc pipe. it looks about a 5x5 foot contraption. They say meteorites can go for over $100,000 or more. They shape them, polish them and sell them in showrooms to the rich.

Oh yeah I've seen some and they are AMAZING- the colors are really 'out of this world' lol

Man, $115,00 nugget.... I just skimmed over the article, but wonder how many acres that guys has! Talk about property appreciation!!!
 
That should be on that show Treasure Hunting in America. Is that show still on? I've seen repeats but that's all. I think it was on the travel channel. :confused:
 
i think if that was my property I would have to call Kirsten Gum. I know that would get her out to hunt with me. :smitten: :drool:
