Earlier this month I was hunting an old horsetrack in Wisconsin not far from home. It was a nice fall day and had nothing better to do and decided to go dig a hole. I found alot of coins too.
I found alot of old wheats from the teens and earlier, one toasted indian head, two nice mercs 1917 and 1918, one 1946 rosie and was just having a nice time. Then I got it. It was close to a foot down and got a perfect quarter reading at 12 47 both ways. A real no-brainer. It turned out to be a 1895 O barber quarter!:grin: And she is a real beauty. It should grade out at extra fine. Red book says $140. :yes: It turned out to be quite a day. As the Ill digger says, "some days you get the cob, and some days you get the corn," today I felt like I got the whole ear!:lol: I'm having a hard time posting the coin, so be patient with me. I'll get it right yet!
