A mid-December Barber

Met Ron at a park today for some last minute hunting before the ground re-freezes. It sure was soft and the temps today were quite pleasant.

Pulled out several Wheat Cents, an IH and an abused and bent Barber. :happydance01:

This is the furthest into December I have experienced soft ground. Normally the ground freezes here by the first week of December. Looks like sleet and snow the next couple of days though. It might really be over this time. crying01

Wow, that Indian Head is really sharp, Joe! Lots of detail left on that beauty! You certainly made some nice finds on this late season hunt!

Bent silver dimes are easy to flatten if you are so inclined, I found that out earlier this year with a terribly bent Barber Dime that I found. Yours doesn't really look too bad though, and at least you got one from the 1800s!

Congrats on the very successful year-end bonus hunt! :clapping:

Congrats on hunting this late into December. I have been dying to dig a Barber dime all season, it has just eluded me. Very nice IH also.

thumbsup01 Nice!! <:

IH, 1800's silver and a pile of wheats is a welcome site anytime of year!
Way to stretch it out! thumbsup01
Congrats

Sweet pile of loot Joe!!! |:cheering: I don't know what it is about December hunts but they seem to be better then most other months.

happy holidays

Great hunt and congrats on the ⚡ BARBER ⚡. I wish I could take advantage of this unseasonably warm weather. I picked the wrong month for my surgery. HH🎄
