advice on a new detector

I'm thinking of selling my Whites Prism V and getting something different that does a better job at the beach in dry sand and can also do a decent job relic hunting. I think I will have around $400 after the sale and the money I saved from my beach finds. Any suggestions on a detector that does beach and relic/park hunting? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Stan for about another 100 to 150 dollars you could pick up a used DFX , a great machine which does very well on both dry and wet beaches and is a pretty good coin shooter at parks . i have also used it for relic hunting with great results .

I'll have to keep my eyes peeled. I had no idea you could get a used DFX for that cheap. I was leaning toward a new Tesoro, but not sure they have one that does both very well. I already have the Sand hark.

If not a DFX, them an MXT would fit the bill nicely. They should be a tad cheaper then the DFX and they are pretty easy to get the hang of.

i would say a dfx or an mxt. ive known people who swear by their mxt. i had a dfx and it worked very well . i sold my dfx in order to get the v3
