Another Button I.D.

First time I had a chance to detect in two weeks due to a family emergency out of state. Well, went to a small town where my son lives and detected a field where they hold the town fair. Found this button. Looks a tad old and it has the letters JTE or JIE on it and it's hollow on the back side. Any idea would be appriciated. Thanks, Eric

hey Buck , i just dug one of those a few weeks ago with the same logo motif . mine is a small cuff sized type (little smaller than a dime) it still has the rusty steel back and shank. i've also quite a few of these same buttons recovered by others in the past few years and all seem to agree that they are somekind of popular early 1900's era sports blazer or jacket. i really couldn't argue with that assumption with its construction and materials used.just google jte button pictures and you'll see some that were found and some that are even still for sale .
