I hate to sound like a broken record but this is from yet another hunt at the grove with the 6"coil on the CTX. I decided to work an extremely trashy area and do what I've been doing with the 6". I basically dig any signal that repeats in one direction. I do dig some iron without a good target in the hole but it is the only way to make sure I'm not missing much. I swing super slow and just listen for that squeak of a high tone and then I investigate in all directions. I'm amazed at what is being masked by the trash. My first find was the 35 Merc and within a foot was the 46 Rosie. The next one was the best of the day and one of the nicest Barber dimes I've found, a 1908-D in AU condition. The Barber was only 3 inches deep and surrounded by trash with a nail almost on top of it. The last silver of the hunt was a 24 Merc. I also found 4 older wheats and a $1.34 in clad.
