AT Pro learning curve a tad straighter today

From the land of the Bluenose.....took my AT Pro International for her second test drive on a rare day not filled with rain. Hit a local field and tried the various settings and finally settled on the standard mode at zero.

Found the machine stable at this setting and very good at picking up deep coins in the 8 to 10 inch range. Had plowed this field numerous times with the Freedom 3 Plus. Pennies rang up good as did loonies and twoonies but dimes and quarters were not to be done. Tried an air test and the machine still would not pick them up at any level.....need help there. Did get one dime and I suspect that it was becaose it was a 1968 one which is half silver which rang up at 82 on that display dewie. The quarter was laying on the surface I eyeballed!

Will it replace my half working Freedom 3 Pluses.....not at this stage.

I air tested mine when I got it it would hit a quarter at 12in no problem but it was clad :thinkingabout: I better test some silver :eyebrow: I hope you love yours as much as I love mine good luck thumbsup01

Since you can notch in or out any segment, you should make sure that the quarters and dime segments are notched IN so they will read when you pass the coil over them. I had accidentaly notched dimes and quarters out a few times when I first started, while adjusting the pushbuttons to see what all they would do.

Canada like the United States has cheapened their coins. Look at the US Zincoln!

Canada coins are now made of 94% STEEL. Unless you accept the steel or iron range, you will pass right over the quarters, dimes, etc.

Hi Les , I hope things work out for you with the AP pro. Looks like the pro owners on this forum are going to share their knowledge with you , that's cool of them . thumbsup01 thumbsup01 Great pictures of your finds and the service medal.
