Don and I had the pleasure of meeting up with Tony two-cent to hit a new town. Don and I got there a little early, even too early to knock on doors however we spotted a man outside his 1930s house surrounded by 1800s houses and decided to ask permission. first hole, 1936 Mercury dime. Pulled a few pieces of trash while walking towards the back and got a high pitched 11-47 seven inches. Bam! Barber quarter! Talking with next door neighbor Don got the permission, front yard I get a jumpy what I thought would be a nail, but because of the high pitch dug anyway. bottom of the sidewall I see the reeded edge and call Don who records me pulling out the Barber half. Unfortunately I nailed it with my shovel. Yes I know Don, I dig too small of holes! Anyways the whole day kind of went like that. I don’t remember when I got the two Indians one of them is an 1878. Caught a guy out doing his lawn and with a yes I pulled a button I don’t recognize followed by a 1935 Washington quarter by the sidewalk. By this time I could tell everyone was getting worn out from the heat but I got kind of a high tone 11-43 sloping towards the street. I usually pass them but sounded too good. First attempt I missed. Tried again by cutting another hole off the side of the other and I see the one dime. I was expecting a slick Barber but instead got my third seated for the year!
The last yard I got nothing. Don pulled a nice barber quarter and then Tony got a V nickel. Just before leaving I got a solid 12-12 at eight inches and I pop my first shield nickel for the year!
Got a strange chicken token and a treasure cloth token too!

You had an outstanding day Tim. Strange as this may seem, I like that button the most. I only wish I knew what it was.
Congrats on the dime trifecta, to bad you didn't find the Rosie for the grand slam!
Great job Buddy!!!

That's amazing, Noah!:shocked05:
So many great finds...and all different!! Congratulations on a great day!:notworthy:

I was 15 minutes late and by that time you had already found a Merc and a Barber Quarter! :crying02:

Congrats on the Barber trifecta, Tim! And the 1877 Seated Dime! And the Shield Nickel!

I really like the button too. Does it say "CRH" on it! I wonder what the initials stand for?

Both of the tokens are oddballs. Can you tell what it says on the chicken token?

Congrats on the stellar day! :perfect10:

Wow a Barber Trifecta! Don't remember seeing someone do that. Big congrats! Great Seated, Shield nik and semi key indian!

Great Hunt. Button is a GAR Grand Army Of The Republic, nice find! https://www.ebay.com/itm/392270387585

Those are great finds Noah! Lot's of nice silvers. I think I'm more shocked that your pictures are right-side up! How'd that happen? LOL! I bet Don was drooling for that button too! I know he likes that style. Congrats on your shield nickel and seated dime too. Were you able to get a date off the nickel? Happy digging, Dave.

I have to remember that I live in a right hander world and hold the phone with the button in my right hand and not my left. It's something you using the wrong side of your brain don't have to think about . Nickel date is 1882. Wish you were here buddy. Course I'd rather be where YOU are!!

That is a real nice collection of that shiny stuff that I rarely ever find. Couple of interesting tokens too. I can guess at what a chicken token might be but no clue what a treasure cloth token is.

Great hunting Noah! All that big old silver, shield nik, and those tokens are what it's all about. Congrats!
