Awesome WWII find!

I was detecting a farm yard today and I found this emblem. It turns out Buick produced 133,000 engines for Pratt and Whitney during the war. These engines were 1200HP air cooled radial and they were used on B-24 Liberator bombers. How cool!

Congrats!
Some of the non-coin finds are far more interesting and fun to find!
:interesting: The history is always fun to learn too.

Think it shook off and fell from the sky during flight? Just a crazy scenerio you know we all like to make up cool theories about how stuff got where it is.... I never thought I would think that exaggerated truth up but I've never found a liberator engine emblem. Lol :perfect10:

That's a real cool find! Those old enamaled / brass advertising items usually hold up really well in the ground.
