Ball field tear out finds.

Darren aka. Milco was generous enough to share the location of a ball field project with me, so I spent about 5 hours hunting it on Tuesday. It was a clad fest with $8.47 total and over 130 total coins. I did manage to find one silver coin a 41 Merc. I also found 12 wheats with several from the 20's and 30's. The best find of the day is a medal depicting Jesus, it is stamped sterling. It is about the size of a quarter and in great shape. A big thank you to Darren for sharing one of his famous tear out projects.

Very nice finds there Jeff! There a TON of targets at that site for sure! Glad you squeaked out one silver, thought there would be more there yet. The medal is a very cool find! I will be back there tomorrow and probably over the weekend. I would say by the end of next week they will have it finished, but we'll see. Sorry it didn't work out to meet up on Tuesday, next time!

No problem Darren we will get together before the deep freeze and yes there are a lot of targets there. I only cover about 15-20 % of the area mostly in right field. The county guy I talked to did not know when the sod would be down but I would think it is getting close to being to late. Good luck on your return.
