I had a few nice evening hunts this past week followed up with one of my best weekends ever. I'm still too excited to even know where to begin... Long story short, I dug 254 coins this week including 24 wheats and seven silver. Among those seven silvers were TWO Barber dimes one of which is a key date or semi key date or who knows but WOW AM I EXCITED TO HAVE DUG THESE! I had only dug three barber dimes in all my time detecting before now so two in one hunt is something else! Plus the 1896-s Barber is the first ANYTHING I've dug with a mintage of under 50 billion or so! lol Today on a return trip to the spot that gave up the Barbers I pulled a sweet 10k 1943 class ring! The inlay is mostly missing but this is an amazing and fantastic find to me! There are initials engraved in it. I'm not sure about chasing down the owner or surviving family, and I'd be curious to hear everyone's thoughts on that. Anyway right now I am too busy walking on metal detected air!!!
