Been a while but was worth the wait!

What up yall! It's been a while since my last post. Made the move to the Charleston area and still looking for hunting buddies. Gonna check out the Low Country Metal Detecting Club next month. I have had few permissions lately.

My latest is a 1930 home in between a 1900 and 1890 home. Hope to hunt the other 2 soon. Tons of clad in the front yard and all the good stuff has been in the back.

The first is a 1920s Three Flowers Richard Hudnut Compact.

Then a clip/buckle with the word PARIS on it.

Some type of small gear.

A harmonica reed.

A lead bail seal.

A really cool broach or pin with a design to it.

Some junk jewelry.

Then there were these small lead pieces. Not sure what they are. Quite a few and rang up like a nickel so had to dig them all. Solid on the face and hollow on the back. Maybe some type of nail or rivet. Not sure. Any ideas.

Toward the end of the day with less then half the back yard done, next to a large old tree, I got a screaming signal on my AT Pro. Had to dig nearly a foot down and popped a dream coin out. Almost had a heart attack. My first 1889 Morgan in what I think is ms63 condition. I couldn't believe it. That was my day as it was almost dark. I turned away and as I was walking back toward the gate, I got another screamer signal. Same signal. I dug down @12 inches and couldn't find it in the dark. It will have to wait till I can get back.

Wow! what an awesome Morgan! I see it is an O mint too! There are a few Morgans that are worth a bit of money so you should check it out in case. I like that gear too.

Better get back there and get the other screamer!

Great find with the Morgan! Unfortunately it's not even close to MS condition. Probably closer to VF20.

Getting a Morgan no matter what the condition is fantastic. I have to agree with DOD about the condition. Keep us posted on that screamer signal.

So excited that I am jumping the gun. Love the brutal honesty! I will have to work on my coin grading. It may take me a little time to get back. I will let you know.

Have to agree on the condition, FV20 is a fair assessment. It's all there but the high points all show significant wear. It's in great condition for a dug coin but dug coins and collectible coins are different animals entirely.

Nice score with that Morgan dollar. For the past 3 years, I think there has only been one that a member of the local club had found. That pin makes me think star trek. Lol.
