Best Relic Find to Date!!!!

Went metal detecting at a 1700's log cabin site a few days ago and was detecting around the front of the log cabin and got a loud but faint 81 solid signal on the ATPro. I started to dig down but ran into a wall of roots :bangahead02: it took me 15 minutes to get through them and i was starting to doubt it from being anything good and just as was about to give up I finally could feel it. I didn't know what it was but as soon as I pulled it out I had to take a double take. I realized that i had just found my FIRST EVER U.S. BELT BUCKLE from the CIVIL WAR!!!!!!!!:happy::yahoo::yahoo:

Life Lesson of that day and will stick with me forever is WHEN IN DOUBT DIG IT OUT!

Keep On Swinging Everyone!!!:detecting:

AMAZING FIND SETH!!!!!!! That's a lifetime find and on almost everyone's bucket list. Congrats on such a spectacular find!!!!!!!

Wow. That is a find worth a bit. I usually have to see the target to give up on it. But If it is a good solid signal I don't give up on them. That practice hasn't yielded me a find like that, however.

:wow:Now that is the best 15 minutes spent digging. Excellent find and I know that a lot of detectorists are envious right now, me included. :envious:.
