Binge Hunting Half Dimes, KG2

Hiya!
I was given a tip from a colleague as to a few cellar holes. They aren't on any maps but sure were there! Short walk in on an abandoned road and it started as soon as I put my coil on the ground. I was there six hrs yesterday and six today. The holes were old and kind of close together. Each had a falling over rock lining and a large pile of rocks right next to the holes. I don't know why.
The shoe buckle was pieced together and not found in the same hole. The Indian is an 1880 and the wheat a 1914. The KG is 17?? and the half dimes are 1854 with arrows and 1857 and found about five feet apart. The merc is a '41, must have been a hunter dropped it. Thanks!

holy seeing double half dimes Batman !:shocked03: guess you did have a good hunt yesterday , very sweet Drew :cheering:my congrats to you sir !:clapping:

That was a nice tip ! Some real nice finds. Those two half dimes are two more than I have. :congrats: I was in your neck of the woods today Drew. I drove through your area on the way to a function in Manchester.

Thanks Isaac, Jeff and John...Yeah John, some of those buttons have some really nice designs, most times they are blank. Jeff, I hope your function was fun and outdoors.

Wow! What a tip! :thumbsup02:
Like Jeff said, thats 2 more 1/2 dimes than I've ever found! :envious:
Thats a big one on my bucket list.... Well a big want, not a big item!
Big congrats to ya! Great hunts!

Wow, what I would give to have a couple of hunts like that. Congrats on the 2 half dimes. I've never even touched one before.:envious:
that 1914 wheat isn't a D is it? that would just be the icing on the cake,
Congrats on an awesome weekend!

Two half dimes AND a 17?? King George? :shocked05: :wow:

I really love those half dimes, Drew, and they are both in nice shape! Lots of cool old buttons and relics too. That was a spectacular hunt!

:perfect10:

1758 on the KG?? Best guess zooming in as much as possible. Hey, save some of those seated in the ground for me to find. lol. Idk... was it anywhere that I had mentioned to you previously up in your area? You did get a lot of finds and a variety of buckles. Obvi the area wasn't hit that much.

It's a really good day when you can come home with 2 half dimes. Just a quick glance at the KG and I am guessing 1753. As you stated before in another post.....why can't the last 2 numbers be the ones easily recognized?

Now those are some AWESOME finds Drew. Not one but TWO half dimes???? That's crazy. Also nice job on the copper. It looks like that area saw a lot of activity for many years after the cellars had been abandoned. Congrats on the finds and the awesome new spot!

Thank you everyone...Don, thanks for the tip on the mint mark...I cleaned it and took a close look, but it turns out it's a 1918  I'm pathetic.
No Jim, this was two towns closer to you.
