Boxing day hunt with a newbie

My sons friend got a detector for Christmas so went out to show him the ropes.
He actually pulled out a musket ball and a two piece button.
My son got a 1849 U.S. Lg cent and a fatty Indian 186?.
I found a 1862 English penny.
It was a good day all around.

Nice hunt. it's always a plus when you get to hunt with your son.
You guys found some nice coins there. :congrats:

Now that's how you spend Boxing Day! :thumbsup01:

You guys got some oldies! :thumbsup02:

We just don't find Large Cents or Fattys very often here in Illinois.

Congrats on the nice finds! :clapping:

Okay oldtimers, pay attention, here comes the next generation. I think that its great that you took out your sons friend to show him the ropes. Do you think that he's hooked yet?

Congrats on your keepers.
