Capped Bust Dime + Mercs

Today I was able to get in about four hours of detecting, spending my time at three MA sites which are relatively close to each other. The first site yielded a beautiful 1821 Capped Bust dime and a 1926 mercury dime. I had to leave the site soon after digging the merc, since it was getting much too busy. I then headed to the second location where I dug up a 1942 mercury dime and a neat sterling silver ring. Finally before heading home I stopped at the third site, and from there I picked up a 1916 and 1944 mercury dime.

She sure is beautiful! :smitten: It's my second Capped Bust dime this month.

It's that supposed to be Bambi on the ring? I'm not quite sure about the second marking. It appears to be cwop or owop.

HH!

The markings on the ring could be copyright walt disney productions. Just a thought. By the way nice capped bust dime. What I would do to find one of those.

SWEET BUST DIME :shocked04:. Great haul for the day too . Good to have had all the rain last week, much better signals and digging here in NY!!

Thanks everyone!

Hey, that must be it! Thanks! :thumbsup01:

Awesome capped dime! Leave it to disney to make a false stamped ring...that is a plated ring right:huh:

The ring is actually silver. The seeming flaking is actually Bambi's paint job peeling off.

The rain has helped for sure. The ground at many of the sites I hunt had been turning dry and powdery, so a little moisture didn't hurt. :thumbsup01:

I think you should clean up that bambi ring and wear it every day

Beautiful dime! Another great hunt

ok angel you are officially making everyone of us on this forum look really bad :hammer: :hammer:
just amazing! :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:
oh and by the way...stop being lazy and show us cleaned up pics as well!

Sweet looking Bust dime. That one is an 1821 Large Date variety. Two in one year would be a great accomplishment, but one month?? :shocked04: :shocked04: I didn't even notice anything else you found  Nice hunt!!

Actually, Angel, the Bambi ring is your best find of the day. It's from the 1950's and worth between $35 and $75 depending on condition! Disney produced sterling rings of all the cartoon characters in the 50's.
