I had a few hours this week due to rain and cold so I decided to make a shadow box out of some walnut I had laying around. I finished it up tonight (finish is still wet in picture) and decided to show it off. It wasn't hard making the shadow box but cutting the glass was a bit tricky...just used a lot of bandaids . Thanks for looking.

Nicely done Jr. :clapping:
The relic is fantastic and the time you spent on displaying it pushes it off the chart.
Well done.

Your skills are the display! Sweet.
This is me trying to build anything... :hammer: >{ >:# :hairpulling:
I no longer try as I haven't much hair left to pull out.

Very nice display. I am always envious of people with talent like you have, put a power tool in my hands and you can just call me stumpy.

Thank you all for the great replies. I plan on making several shadow boxes ( only larger) this winter when the ground is frozen.

Thanks Tim, I had some walnut left over from a mirror frame I made for my living room-- it measures 124 inches by 48 inches and is 8 inches wide and 1.5 inches thick, The mirror and frame weighs in at over 300lbs. It was a chore bolting it to the wall .
